From the President:

Dear Crossroad Quilters

We will decorate a tree for the Parade of Christmas trees at the Stockton Library. Each member is asked to make 2 4" quilted blocks for the tree. Use any colors you would like. You can either "pink" the edges, bind, or flip them inside out (pillowcase method?) Send to Betty B. or Elaine H. these need to be done BEFORE our next meeting. (before Nov. 17)

The Challenge fabric is all gone now. Those who received it, have fun working with it!

Our quilt show will be September 27, 2008 in St. Thomas Parish Center.

We will have election of officers at our Nov. meeting. Thanks to Marsha S. for twisting arms, and coming up with nominations for the officers.

Our Christmas Party is Dec. 17th at 6:30 p.m. It will be a potluck, so be thinking of what you'd like to bring. We will also have a gift exchange for those who would like to participate. There is a $10 - 15 limit.

We will have sign up for next years committees and refreshments at the Nov. meeting. Everyone needs to participate to make our group successful. If you can't make it to the meeting, give me a call and I'll sign you up.

We will also have sign up for our Birthday Fat Quarter club. You can call me on this also if you can't attend the meeting.

The quilt we donated for the Terry Eggers benefit brought $160.

November sew days are Nov. 10th is Stockton, and Nov. 14th in
Plainville.

Ladies signed up for refreshments at our Nov. meeting are Cindy P., Dorothy D. and Susan Ga.

Happy Quilting!
