Karen
called the meeting to order. After
refreshments we had roll call and show and tell. Janie gave a financial report.
She reported that it is time to pay dues for the new year.
A motion was made to accept the
increase in rent of the Senior Center to $35 per month. Motion was seconded and carried.
A thank you note and $50 gift
certificate to the Quilt Cottage was received from Sam Green. The gift certificate will be used to
purchase backing material at the Quilt Cottage sale.
The I Spy top was pieced for the
Playground raffle at the sew day. They
also completed a couple of charity
quilt tops.
A
Motion was made to form a committee to select items needed to keep on hand at
sew days. Motion was seconded and
carried. Betty and Janice will service
on the committee.
Discussion concerning the sale at
the Quilting Fool’s on February 10 was held.
We will try to purchase material for borders, etc. Karen is going to look into purchasing a large
roll of batting through her church quilters.
A motion was made to work the food
stand at Joyce Schmitz auction to be held February 17. Motion second and carried.
Jana was unable to attend meeting
but sent word that she should have the web site up by next month.
Karen noted February Sew Days will be Feb 10 in Stockton and Feb 14 in Plainville. She also wanted everyone to remember the Lattice Square block for the fair booth. Everyone participating in the Birthday FQ swap needs to remember to check their calendars.
Door prize was provide by Gladys and won by Janie. Drawing for the FQ was won by Betty. There were 17.
Annette gave a presentation
discussing programs for the year.
Next months refreshments will be furnished by Janie, Donna, Marilyn, and Idona.

Chocolate- Bertha. Bringing brownies is Gladys and
Joan. Elda was undecided. The work schedule is as follows: 9-10

Gladys; 12-2 Betty B., Elaine, Marge, and Janice.

made a motion at the last meeting to purchase items for our sew days. The following has been ordered: Cream Thread, Grey Thread, Pins, Machine
Needles, Sharpeners, Rotary Cutters, Replacement Blades, Rulers, Cutting Mats,
and Cushion Mats. Gladys donated two
irons.
