Volume 5, Issue 4 April 2007
Karen called the meeting to order. We had the presentation of the New Year’s Baby Quilt to Jalia Creighton. We hope that Jalia enjoys the baby quilt for many years to come.
Karen
and Sue of the Quilted Four Patch presented the evening program. They showed
many of the quilts and projects they offer at their shop. Some of the classes
they offer are the Mystery Quilt, Calico Quadrille, Make and Take, Thimbleberries
Club, JellyRoll and many more. Everyone really enjoyed the program.
We had
Show and Tell with many members showing the projects they had completed
or was working on. This is a very popular part of our club meeting and
everyone really enjoys looking at all the projects.
We will
tie Charity quilts at the next sew day. Courtney will invite her friend
to join us and teach us how to tuff quilts. All Quilters that would be
able to join us to work on the quilts would be appreciated.
A class
for paper piecing a Table Runner was held March 17th . Freida taught the
class. The members who attended the class will pay for the class themselves.
Janie
gave the financial report and a motion was made to pay the bills and the
motion carried. Annette read the communications from the family of Thelma
Hake and the thank you from the Palco Library. Jana reported the Quilt
Book Library is officially open with the library cards.
The New Year’s Baby Quilt committee for 2008 will be Elaine and Janie. Joan and Courtney are in charge of the Raffle Quilt for 2008.
